Statement by the Central Committee of All Union Communist Party of Bolsheviks (CC AUCPB) in connection with the sharp deterioration of the situation on the Korean Peninsula

27.03.2013 04:54

At the moment, because of the constant provocations by the U.S. against the DPRK, the United States, the use of sophisticated attempts to in any way force the DPRK to respond to the actions of the U.S. and South Korea, the Korean Peninsula has come close to a dangerous line of open hostilities between the opposing sides - the U.S. and the DPRK. The presence of nuclear weapons in both countries makes it possible to they can be used it in this confrontation. This means that the world once again by the imperialists is on the verge of a new start of a World War III, only this time, a thermo nuclear war. Obviously, war is the only way to maintain their rule in a state of profound systemic crisis and agony of the imperialist world. To any clear thinking individual, it is obvious that a World War with nuclear weapons will inevitably destroy all life on Earth, and will be the end of civilization.

We call on all people of the Earth, regardless of their political beliefs and orientations, religions and nationalities, race and age, to think seriously about the inevitable consequences of a nuclear war fomented by the U.S., where there will be no winners. This war will affect everyone, regardless of where they live, and their distance from the Korean peninsula.

We call upon all citizens of the Earth to do everything possible to prevent a thermonuclear world slaughter for the criminal interests of the furious and frantic financial tycoons of the world.

We appeal to the UN Security Council - to stop playing the role of an obedient servant of the U.S. and remember their responsibilities as an organization designed to act in the interests of all mankind.

Stopping the crazed American aggressors and preventing another world war being started is the duty of all peace-loving peoples of the world and the only chance for survival, which history gives us now.

Hands off the Democratic People's Republic of Korea!

Statement by the CC AUCPB on the situation on the Korean Peninsula

22.03.2013
We have repeatedly stated before that the AUCPB supported and will support the leadership Songun policy of the DPRK. We fully support the DPRK nuclear test and launch of an artificial satellite by their domestic carrier rocket, suggesting the establishment of a reliable DPRK nuclear shield, which is in the current circumstances, is the only real way to protect the country from foreign aggression.
However, we do not support the statement (see below this statement) made by the Foreign Affairs spokesman and other agencies about the possibility of the DPRK launching a pre-emptive nuclear strike against its enemies, as it puts the socialist country on par with the imperialist aggressor – the United States, the instigator of a Third World thermo-nuclear war. The apparent military gains from this will inevitably turn to political defeat on either of the sides who dared to actually deliver a pre-emptive nuclear strike. On the Korean peninsula today in opposing each other, i.e. the DPRK – U.S., what is at stake is not only the life of DPRK citizens, but also those of neighbouring countries, and in the end – the whole of humanity.

U.S. Nuclear Blackmail Will Be Foiled with Stronger Military Counteraction: Spokesman

Pyongyang, March 21 (KCNA) -- It is the unshakable will and resolute determination of the service personnel and people of the DPRK to frustrate hostile acts of the U.S. and its satellite forces against the DPRK and defend the sovereignty of the country.

However, the U.S. is still making a foolish attempt to test the DPRK's will and dampen its resolute decision through high-handed hostile acts including nuclear blackmail, failing to properly understand about its rival.

Not content with pushing the Key Resolve and Foal Eagle war drills to the danger line, the U.S. set about making an undisguised nuclear blackmail against the DPRK after introducing mass destructive strike means equipped with nuclear warheads.

In this regard the spokesman for the Supreme Command of the Korean People's Army (KPA) gave the following answer to the question put by KCNA Thursday:

As the KPA Supreme Command already clarified, the Key Resolve and Foal Eagle joint military exercises are evidently dangerous nuclear war drills now under way as part of the most outrageous hostile acts to encroach upon the sovereignty and supreme interests of the DPRK.

This is a vivid expression of the crudest violation of the Korean Armistice Agreement (AA) and all the north-south agreements.

This was precisely the reason why the DPRK took an important decision to totally nullify the AA and declare the north-south declaration on nonaggression and the joint declaration on the denuclearization of the Korean Peninsula invalid.

The decision reflected the strong will and steadfast determination of the DPRK army and the people to foil the U.S. nuclear war racket with their own nuclear weapons, free from any binding, and wipe out all hostile forces toeing the U.S. policy now that it has become impossible to pin any hope on the validity of the above-said agreements and declarations.

The U.S. is now introducing B-52, nuclear-powered submarines and other nuclear strike means into south Korea and its vicinity in a bid to test the DPRK's will and break its resolute determination.

The flying corps of strategic bombers equipped with nuclear weapons and nuclear-powered submarines serve as "the three major nuclear mainstays" and "the three major nuclear strike means" along with intercontinental ballistic missiles that the U.S. brandishes as means of blackmail as it pleases.

What should not be overlooked is that the U.S. picked up B-52 and nuclear-powered submarines out of these nuclear strike means to send them to the sky above south Korea and its waters for a nuclear strike drill under the simulated conditions of an actual war against the DPRK. The U.S. is openly calling it a strong warning message to the DPRK and is claiming in public that it would continue such threat and blackmail against the DPRK in the future.

But the army and people of the DPRK will never be frightened at such a warning message, threat and blackmail.

The U.S. should not forget that the Anderson Air Force Base on Guam where B-52 takes off and naval bases in Japan proper and Okinawa where nuclear-powered submarines are launched are within the striking range of the DPRK's precision strike means.

Now that the U.S. started open nuclear blackmail and threat, the DPRK, too, will move to take corresponding military actions.

The DPRK's declaration that it will react to the nukes of the enemy with nuclear attack more powerful than them is by no means an empty talk.

The world will clearly see the provocateurs, who hurt the sovereignty of the DPRK, meet a miserable end in the flames of justice kindled by the army and people of the DPRK to defend its sovereignty.

DPRK MISSILE SUCCESSFULLY LAUNCHES SATELLITE
INTO ORBIT!
The Democratic Peoples’ Republic of Korea recently carried out a successful launch of a satellite designed by the country itself and using its own technology, in accordance with the precepts of the Great Leader Comrade Kim Jong Il.
The Unha-3 missile was launched on December 12 with earth observation satellite "Kwangmyongsong-3" on board. In a short time, a report followed by the Korean Central News Agency: "The satellite
has reached its pre-established orbit." The stage rockets fell into the ocean.
With this successful launch into space, the DPRK Korea has once again proved the superiority of the socialist state system. This is particularly noticeable on the background
of a succession of failed launches and destruction of Russian space satellites that have occurred recently.
The Central Committee of the All-Union Communist Party of Bolsheviks (CC AUCPB) congratulates the people of the DPRK and their leader Kim Jong-Un on the successful launch of the satellite "Kwangmyongsong-3". We hope that this event will be the start of a long-term space program in DPRK. We wish our Korean friends every success in the conquest of outer space!

HANDS OFF THE LENIN MAUSOLEUM!
The ruling bourgeois power in Russia is preparing once again to spit on the soul of all citizens who respect the history of their own country and all Soviet people. The objects targeted by the authorities for abuse are namely the Lenin Mausoleum and Necropolis located by the Kremlin Walls on Red Square in Moscow.
In December 2012, the Mausoleum was shut down under the pretext of supposedly carrying out "repair work" and then subsequently covered over with a special dome, thereby hiding the target of abuse from the public eye. Sources close to the authorities argue that the Mausoleum (a monolithic structure made of granite, built by Soviet workers who were not accustomed to "moonlighting" or “shoddy” workmanship!), was "tilting", "leaning" and "about to collapse." In fact, it is the government ruling "verticals of power" who are the ones leaning and tilting and on the verge of collapse, especially now that these capitalists are so eager to inflict punishment on a monument to Soviet history – the Lenin Mausoleum.
The ruling powers-to-be make no secret about their plans to dig up the graves of outstanding figures of the Soviet state, whose remains are buried by the Kremlin Wall, and to rebury (so they claim) the body of Vladimir Ilyich Lenin. The modern-day counter-revolutionaries are haunted by what the Yankees did to Gaddafi – and in their sick minds they seemed to have conceived a similar idea to commit outrage over the body of the leader of the world proletariat – Vladimir Ilyich Lenin. They would be far better off recalling how supporters of the leadership of the Jamahiriya dealt with an American ambassador in Libya!
Leaders of the "sole opposition" and "the most communist" of communist parties – the CPRF (the social democratic, opportunist and revisionist Communist Party of the Russian Federation headed by Gennady Zyuganov- FB) have kept quiet on the matter – their cosy warm seats in parliament - the State Duma, and in the regional assemblies are dearer to them, far more then any historical memory. However, what can you really expect from the CPRF. Most recently, the CPRF expressed its intention to “jointly” with the Russian Orthodox Church (ROC) assess the Soviet period of history." And this is after the infamous comments were made by the Archpriest of ROC, Vsevolod Chaplin, who said that it was the "moral duty for a Christian is to kill as many Bolsheviks as possible". (!)
Liberal journalists timidly called on the government "not make matters worse," and "not to doing anything that might lead to civil war." In fact, civil war has long been underway and both sides use weapons. The hatred being felt by the disadvantaged and oppressed workers towards the thieving, arrogant and brazen impunity of the capitalists is reaching the limit and pushing for action. And young people start calling themselves communist-revolutionaries then hurl Molotov cocktails into the offices of the ruling "United Russia" Party. These young people do not know the way to fight capitalism - yet, but they are ripe for decisive action. And there are not just three or ten of these people in numbers, but many more. Depriving young people of a future, the capitalists are training revolutionary cadres with their own hands, in creating a situation in which their rule, preserved by the blood and tears of millions of working people will be overthrown. And their mockery of Soviet history is only a small stroke in their hostile activity towards humanity.
Having shut down the Mausoleum for visitors, and hidden it from their eyes, the accomplices of the bourgeoisie can get up to all kinds of mischief in there, knowing it is outside of the public gaze, then set about messing things up in there as much as they like – i.e. including the organizing of arson or an gas explosion "as a result of welding work." And then afterwards, they will turn around and say - "well that’s just how it happened…….. simple as" ...
Let the barbarians-bourgeoisie who are cooking up another crime remember the following.
If the Russian authorities really do actually destroy the Lenin Mausoleum and the Necropolis, then basically they are demonstrating their complete identity and affinity with the fascist governments of Latvia, Estonia and other countries, where the modern-day followers of Adolf Hitler are busying themselves away with digging up the graves of Soviet soldiers. Thus, this would indeed confirm the correctness of the thesis formulated by our party, the AUCPB, two years ago: the process of fascization of the ruling regime continues, has not stopped, and is growing stronger.
The desecration by the ruling regime of corpses and the memories and feelings of our ancestors and millions of people will not pass without a price to pay. The working masses rising up will inevitably call their oppressors to account. After the inevitable and speedy victory of the socialist revolution, nothing will save the capitalists from their inevitable day of reckoning.

Hands off the Lenin Mausoleum!

MOST HUMANE MAN
On January 21, 1924, the heart of Vladimir Ilyich Lenin stopped beating. Lenin was one of the greatest theoreticians and
practitioners who developed the theory of revolutionary Marxism (Bolshevism), a creator and leader of the Russian Social-Democratic Labour Party (RSDLP) – the Communist Party
Bolshevik revolutionary vanguard, the organizer of the October socialist
revolution, creating the world's first free state of workers and peasants, and a genius of
humanity. So much more can be said about the man that changed the course of world history.
Lenin was noted for his modesty throughout his life.
V.I. Lenin was one of the great thinkers. A deep thinking philosopher, economist, historian, an expert on science and culture, a talented writer, a man of prophetic foresight, with ruthless intelligence to analyse and a rare gift for wide coverage of large-scale events. Maxim Gorky spoke of Lenin saying, "His heroism is almost completely devoid of external appearance, his heroism quite frequent in Russia, a modest, ascetic penance honest Russian intelligentsia-revolutionary, sincerely believing in the possibility of justice on earth, the heroism of a man who gave up all pleasures of the world for the sake of hard work towards the happiness of the people.".
Lenin's theoretical developments were and are a guide, a guide for modern-day communists. "The fire of Leninism has lit the path for us, and lifts up the world to storm capital"- these lines of the Comintern Anthem are "known and understood in every corner of the world where the class struggle boils.
Leninism is a great international doctrine, a methodology of revolutionary theory and
practice of struggle against the imperialist oppression of the proletariat, the struggle for scrapping everything obsolete and inhuman
in the extreme militarized imperialist
state system. Leninism is notable for its militant and revolutionary character,
because it grew out of a proletarian revolution, became stronger in battles against opportunism, a struggle which is a necessary condition for the victory over capitalism.
Lenin's death was a heavy blow to all communists and all freedom fighters. But this tragic event could not stop the development of the revolution, the further advancement of the country forward, towards socialism.
"Only a few months will pass and a hundred thousand party membership cards will replace Lenin’s lost card." "Remember ... every hour: the conscience of a Bolshevik - Lenin is watching over us". "In a clear rhythm of our steps to Lenin’s heartbeat." These heartfelt lines by Soviet poets reflected the sorrow of all working people who had lost their beloved leader, and their anger against enemies of Soviet power, together and the determination to fight to the end, to be loyal Leninists.
The building of a socialist society without V.I. Lenin was continued by his successor and loyal disciple J.V. Stalin. Stalin implemented the plans for building socialism, which were the embodiment of the plans of V.I. Lenin.
All the hatred which the overthrown exploiting classes fed towards leaders of the revolution, spilled over into a muddy stream of lies and slander against the activities and personality of Stalin.
The current anti-Soviets are repeating in every way the fiction of the "German spy" Lenin, unable to replace anything that could match the might of the Soviet Union, encouraged by Lenin's genius. Today, once again voices are being raised about reburying Lenin and destroying the Lenin Mausoleum on Red Square in Moscow. They dare not openly destroy the mausoleum, knowing the scale of resentment it will cause. Meanwhile, the bourgeois leadership of the Russian Federation are only cowardly blocking off the Mausoleum from view during the May 9 Victory parades – in order to hide from their eyes the gruesome reminder of their betrayal to the people. The ruling bourgeoisie continues to condone corrupt historians and so-called defamatory "cultural workers" slandering V.I. Lenin. They are hoping to destroy all memory of the inspirer and organizer of the victorious struggle of the workers and peasants against their
oppressors. But nothing will be gained by this.
"... Lenin continues to live, not in monuments and portraits, but in his tremendous accomplishments and in the hearts of hundreds of millions of workers, inspired by
his example, giving hope for a
better future. " J.Nehru.
Even if the Russian bourgeoisie
decide on carrying out such a monstrous act of vandalism as the reburial of the body
Vladimir Lenin, they will never be able to destroy the great idea of working people liberating themselves from capitalism. After
almost a century after the death of V.I. Lenin, he remains the symbol of struggle of the working classes, and remains the leader of the world proletariat.
"... He belongs not just to the Soviet Union, but to all of mankind. Lenin is an inspiring
example for us, and we live and
fight under the direct
influence of his ideas." John Bernal, the English physicist and sociologist, political activist, professor at Cambridge and London universities and a Fellow of the Royal
society.
"... The Russian people, liberated by Lenin will never allow themselves to be turned back into slaves. They will fight, imbued with the spirit of Lenin. And I have no doubts about the outcome of this fight.
Lenin, his Soviet state will prevail.
Whatever the immediate outcome of this struggle, Lenin and Russia, humanity, and justice, which he made to the running of the
country in the long run will triumph. For although Lenin is dead, the social structure, which he founded and which his
associates and successors have since led towards the current might and greatness, will remain for future generations." Theodore Dreiser, American writer.
Today, we Bolsheviks continue the work of great Lenin, guided in our struggle and daily life by his thoughts. Our Bolshevik ideology, founded by Lenin, continued by Stalin, again inspires us to fight for the only fair system – socialism - millions of working people, millions of oppressed in Russia and in all countries.
"The Bolsheviks conducting Leninism, I believe and I am convinced, work for the happiness of the people, and will guide them towards happiness." K.A. Timiryazev.
Our cause is just! We shall win!

ON THE GREATER NEEDS OF CAPITAL IN MALI
The entering of firstly the French military, and then other such elements into the African nation of Mali, is largely reminiscent of the events of the criminalization inside Russia. The presence of Islamists in Mali has constantly seen the need to deploy "troops" into this state on the African continent, just like inside Russia, the presence of crime constantly sees the need "to strengthen the legal element," which in reality has always been accompanied by increased numbers of security forces. Characteristic also is the fact that in Mali, the French Foreign Legion arrived on 11 January 2013 to free the population of this country from "terrorists," "Al-Qaeda", but that the UN Security Council resolution allowing the "Legion" to enter Mali was received by Paris as "a late addition," i.e., on 14 January 2013. And the "terrorism" which the French aircraft began to bomb in Mali in terms of content, is no different from the "terrorism" which France at the same time actively supports in Syria (so-called Syrian Free Army and other terrorist groups of the so-called opposition hoping to oust President Assad - fb).
What is it that compels the French authorities to so actively double up their standards and hypocrisy in the fight against "terrorism"?
The fight against "terrorism" since 2001, (the 9/11attacks by aircraft on the World Trade Centre in New York) is used by the imperialist governments as a pretext to suppress workers' and national liberation movements around the world, as well as for the re-division of global markets and natural resources. The same excuse - "counter-terrorism" – is used to cover up the real reason for the presence of French troops in Mali. Namely - the large reserves of uranium ore in the country. And 75% of France’s energy at home is based on the energy produced by nuclear power plants, which, without uranium, are unable to function and produce electricity. In addition, in Mali there are significant deposits of diamonds, silver, copper, tin, lead, lithium, manganese, bauxite and iron ore. Mali also claims to stock the third largest gold reserve in Africa. So when the CNN news channel decided to announce the topic of uranium in Mali, it was quickly put in its place and toe the line, that is to say, told to point instead to the topic of "human rights", which Western journalists are meant to adhere to, in order to justify the aggressive policy of world imperialism. A similar case was observed on the Russian TV channel RBC, where a rather lively presenter deftly ignored the topic of uranium in Mali, as if the term was some kind of obscure technical quantity.
What compels the mainstream media to move away from the economic reasons for the French military intervention into Mali and switch over to the fight against "terrorism" instead?
The general theme of energy resources, similar to "black gold" (oil) raises the role of real gold in the economy, the dividing up of which always ends up badly. Hollywood has portrayed this topic of dividing up of valuable resources quite convincingly. For in the process, not everyone survives. The situation surrounding the uranium and other precious metals in Mali can only be compared to piracy, accompanied by the active shooting of surplus people in the process, who are largely members of the civilian population.
For example, consider the situation in the Central African Republic, where rebels in the same manners as "terrorists", for over several months have been carrying out assaults on the state capital. But oddly enough, that didn’t seem to bother those wandering around the corridors of the UN, since this country has no energy resources or any attractive glossy metal.
If we talk about the nature of existing relations in Mali, we could say that they most resemble the status of Soviet troops in Afghanistan back in the days when the Soviets were fighting the Mujahideen (1979-1989). The Islamists have launched the same active struggle against the French presence in the country, which
was typical of the provocations carried out against the Soviet "Afghan". Most clearly on this background stands the attack on January 16, 2013 of the oil and gas production field of the In Amenas in Algeria, where in the hands of the Islamists were held hostage several hundred workers at the enterprise, including foreign experts. According to the result of the bloodshed, observers were quick to point out that "the terrorist attack in Algeria will lead to further internationalize the conflict in Mali," and, moreover, "will turn Mali into a second Afghanistan." The root cause of what is happening in this African nation might be seen in the direct clash of economic interests of France and the United States.
What groups are at the forefront of the Islamist armed conflict?
The militants of the Islamic alliance represent three groups. They include "Anser Dine" ("defenders of the faith"), "Al-Qaeda in the Islamic Maghreb" and also the "Movement for Oneness and Jihad in West Africa." And after the first
bombings of Islamist positions, the French weren’t counting the number of Islamist bombers returning to their bases, and thus Paris found that the enemy was better armed than originally thought. Out of Moscow it was noted that: "The problem is that almost 16 thousand anti-aircraft Strela and Strela-2 surface-to-air missiles, etc have disappeared from the weapons depots of the late Colonel Gaddafi. They are most likely now in Mali." With such evil irony, the French by their same bombing, squeezed Gaddafi out of Libya only to have to now clash with those now very same "squeezed out" surface-to-air missiles.
Where have these new Islamist groups grown from and who had been strangers in previous years? The CIA for five years nurtured the Taliban so that in 2001, it could get to get a blank check to invade Central Asia (Afghanistan, Iraq), closer to the Middle East and Caspian oil. The UN sanctioned the invasion for just six months, but NATO forces, led by the U.S., stayed in Afghanistan for an entire decade. Again, the fight against "terrorism" was the hook to dangle on for a long time. As for the specific time durations for the presence of Western troops on the territories of other states, well these durations depend only on the time required to pump out the named territories’ natural resources. After this, the theme of "strengthening democracy" and the struggle for "human rights" in such regions is quickly forgotten, completely. However, the now precarious situation in Mali shows there are
"similar gateways for the U.S. into West Africa" that are being built which already had their place for the passage of the U.S. into Afghanistan, towards Middle East oil. And the half-forgotten operation "Desert Storm" appears in the guise of operation "Sahara Storm".
Recently the United States seemed concerned about its policies in Africa, where they have been seriously squeezed by China and other
competitors. And, given the experience of the NATO war against Libya, the U.S. managed to squeeze out their European brothers in arms from
the monopoly over Libyan oil. So why not extend this experience to Algerian gas? Indeed, appearing on the horizon are Niger's uranium deposits and the oil in Nigeria, which are now so incredibly important for energy in China. The new
"gateways" through West Africa, opening in Mali, present the United States with a nice "titbit" and when Washington is ready, will participate in the "democratization" of the region itself, and not on Paris’s terms. And the United States has such plans for a new "Storm ..." for "democracy" in West Africa, according to press reports, by the autumn of 2013. The only problem is that West Africa is equally close to both the U.S. and France. In addition, Paris has experience in "approaching"
African oil even during the rule of General de Gaulle. In those days, through Gabon (Gabonese Republic), they managed to penetrate into neighbouring states and place all their people across the territory. France gained a lot from the plans but then Paris pretentiously was not a member of NATO, and acted independently. Nowadays when Sarkozy joined French interests with NATO, U.S. interests in Libya rapidly prevailed over the French ones. Therefore the conditions for entry of the United States into Mali promise to be more of a theatrical offensive in form than a military operation. And in this case the role of "terrorism" will require big Hollywood
bucks. To start with, Washington is unlikely to allow the elimination of the Malian Islamists by international forces, since they will quickly be in high demand in September this year. Yet already there are predictions of a foreign military intervention, which "will lead to a terrible escalation of the conflict and its sprawling into neighbouring countries like Algeria, Libya, Sudan, Niger and across Greater Sudan." Also, the reasons for such spread of armed conflict in Africa, many see as the consequence of the Libyan war by NATO. And Western European public opinion is completely unsusceptible to taking such a critical look at their own reality. And this means only one thing: in the autumn of 2013, at the start of the U.S. invasion into Mali, there will be no obstacles standing in the way of aggression.
Recently, we have taken serious note of some of the comments made by Internet bloggers that have been sounding out very timely. One of them caught out Pentagon chief Leon Panetta, in a quote he made on January 13 of this year reference U.S. military intervention. It goes like this: He says"... although al-Qaida in the Islamic Maghreb, also known as AQIM, and other affiliate groups in Mali may not pose an immediate threat to the United States”, and when he quickly checked himself, then added, "ultimately that remains their objective." After that bloggers could already ask in analytical form: "Is the gateway to Africa for the United States or the "Taliban" of south-west Sahara"?
Here again, Afghan history floats to the surface in the period of the Soviet withdrawal in 1989, and then replaced by the "Taliban." Now it is well known that the Taliban arms were supplied by the Pakistan army, and the money – by Saudi Arabia. In the period of the building of the Taliban, behind Pakistan and the Saudi sheikhs stood the U.S.. Something else needs to be added to this, in that
behind the current "Al-Qaeda in the Islamic Maghreb" are standing the very same United States to whom the organization "may not
pose an immediate threat."
What kind of threat does the Afghan issue present under a new escalation of tension?
The Russian authorities in the light of their "long-term thinking," are not drawing any hasty conclusions regarding Afghanistan. They, without any illusions confidently award orders and medals to combatants who fought in Afghanistan. As a result, the external background appears as some sort of convincing victory, while the inner meaning of these events requires a serious political
evaluation, the lack of which has long threatened a repetition of the wrong question posed at the time regarding assisting Afghanistan. We have already spoken on this issue, stating that the entering of Soviet troops into that country made sense only under one condition - the condition for the development of electrification in Afghanistan, as the basis for industrialization. And this condition was fulfilled during the leadership of the USSR under Stalin, when military action on foreign soil was accompanied by Leninist electrification with industrialization of these areas. This condition was necessary to ensure that after Soviet troop withdrawal, the USSR could count on friendly governments on foreign soil with related
economic ties with the Soviet government. This requirement also applied to the Soviet troop entry into Afghanistan which, following their departure in 1989 from the country, there should have remained productive forces friendly towards the USSR. But who did the Soviet troops actually
leave behind Afghanistan in 1989? They left with a hostile military force that could exist on the
economic base of drugs.
Who at that time was responsible for the political element in the Soviet Army? At that time, the Main Political Administration of the
Soviet Army was headed by anti-Stalinist Dmitri Volkogonov. Could Volkogonov have demanded that the requirements in Afghanistan were fulfilled in order to strengthen the position of the Soviet Union within this country, whilst slinging mud at Stalin at every step of the way? Of course, he could not. And could the leaders of the economic stagnation in the USSR pursue broad industrialization somewhere else if they were unable to do so at home? ... In addition, in 1989, the country's top leadership was by then praying at dollar altar and saw it as the solution to all their problems. From there, the drugs in Afghanistan turned out to be the only means of immersion into capitalist oblivion. Now the dream is over. Conclusions are missing.
What we can expect from the uranium enterprising Americans in Afghanistan?
What can be expected is another sharp turn by the NATO war machine into several states with uranium deposits in the region. Here, even the current head of NATO, Anders Fogh Rasmussen has spoken of "global terrorism" emanating
from Mali. And this fight against "global terrorism" cannot but touch upon such states with deposits of uranium ore, which happen to be Kazakhstan and Uzbekistan, former Soviet republics.
Strangely enough, but the Americans themselves do not demand such quantities of nuclear fuel for their own energy demands,
because the share of nuclear power in the overall balance of electrification in the U.S. has never exceeded 20% at the best of times. Uranium
deposits of this former Soviet Central Asian region are essential for nuclear countries such as France, China and India. However, whichever country gains control over the energy resources in that region will be the one that will set their prices. And this is the main economic reason for the second wave of interest now being shown towards the uranium region of the "Afghan".
Russia also manages to freeload and sponge off the prices of energy, which are abundantly fused abroad in order to return back to Russia in the form of taxes. In fact, all social spending in Russia is supported by taxes from the sale of its own natural resources abroad. And meanwhile in the existing "roulette" of the Russian economy, with its world energy prices, it is accompanied by a lucky suit (i.e. price), and the team of "Petersburg hussars" can control the situation. Gleaning taxes from high prices is good enough at this point. It is well known that a successful suit in roulette interrupts the "Queen of Spades." But who could this Queen of Spades really be? And can it really be the Queen of Spades in this particular case? Looking at what plans for forming "gateways into Africa for the U.S. or the "Taliban" of Southwest Africa" have been worked out at the State Department in Washington, the name of this "Queen of Spades" happens to be no other than Hillary Clinton. And already some horizons with uranium are opening up in Afghanistan, where we have no doubt that while in this country
there is uranium, the U.S. will remain there too. As for the "Queen of Spades" deftly weaving the fabric of plans for approach to the world’s energy resources, then she is leaving. As custom to assume in such cases, she is leaving in order to return. To return on the results of the fulfilment of these plans, that way, in four years, to appear in a new capacity.
So whose old face, according to
words from the works of Alexander Pushkin, is capable in this situation, of actually being able see through the interests of the "Petersburg Hussars" in order to feel the entire tragedy of the unsuccessful suit in their policies?
Most likely, in front of them will open up that senile smile of that very same Volkogonov, like a greeting from afar from Afgan.
Only this time, the unfortunate players
at Roulette from Petersburg will nominate themselves to act as the second wave of fighters against the Taliban, so desperately needed by the world market for addressing the issue of "Global Terrorism." And the Russian fighters against "terrorism" will find it very hard to turn down such a proposal, more-so, that the awards and medals issued in abundance for Soviet military service in Afghanistan in the past war will escalate into an open call to protect Russians in post-Soviet territories neighbouring Afghanistan. And essentially, on the basis on the experience of achieved victories, it will be necessary to switch to creating U.S. managed chaos as a model of existence of the leading conglomerates of imperialism. So here basically is the layout of the political forces arising, when looking at events in and around Mali.
What conclusion grows out of all this? Unfortunately, the conclusion growing out from all this is not at all comforting. The NATO war machine bites hard and acts with complete disregard towards the world community. The level of significance of the UN has been reduced to the level of the pre-war League of Nations, unable to counter the pressure of the leading imperialist powers. This temptingly leads to a redistribution of the world's resources to the benefit of the key conglomerates of the West that could be equivalent to a third world war.
The Islamic world in their masses, having started standing up and fighting for a better share, are able to offer themselves as cannon fodder and are ready to die for the interests of the U.S. dollar. The counterweight to this is Islamic Iran in the way it is acting, where the conductor of the industrial revolution is spirituality, creating the productive forces. But both Iranians and Palestinians have immediately fallen under heavy pressure from the West, on the tip of which is aggressive Israeli policy. And the liberation struggle by the people of Kurdistan being carried out under the leadership of the PKK is not taken into account at all. Kurds in their struggle for liberation have been forced to confront both the Islamic feudal lords of three states as well as the entire army of Capital.
The situation with the Muslim population
in the post-Soviet territory of Russia is not much better, either. Here the population
has a much stronger love towards the dollar
than their own domestic production forces. Further, in Russia all power structures are imbued with no less love towards the dollar, accompanied with even more disregard and neglect towards the domestic Russian rouble that represents the production forces.
Therefore, the parameters having been set for the imperialist re-division of the world will lead to a shift in the political centre of gravity in the direction of China and India, who will be forced to take a clearer position on upholding their own economic interests that can bring them even closer together, at least for a time. In the future, these owners of the largest and most significant workforce in the world may well be able to take on the role of the UN Security Council, if they are able to establish their control over a substantial part of the world’s resources.
For Russia, this horizon goes almost unnoticed let alone envisaged, and the Asian giants themselves are not announcing their plans either. The advanced production forces in these countries will be able to strengthen the road which will be supported by the production forces in others countries of the world.

Comment from the editorial. In the article above, examples are used from the work by
Pushkin, "The Queen of Spades." With the term "under the command of the Petersburg hussars", the author points to that group of people from Saint Petersburg (Leningrad) who are close to Russian president Vladimir Putin and who make up the country’s ruling elite.
We consider it necessary to point out that the Kurds leading the leftist Kurdistan Workers’ Party (PKK) are carrying on an armed struggle for the realisation of the right to self-determination for their own people. Media sources which are in one way or another sympathetic to the plight of the Kurds regularly report on clashes that take place
between armed groups of the PKK and the Turkish military. What is happening on the territories of divided Kurdistan cannot be described as preparation for a proletarian revolution, since the main goal struggle here is in creating an independent Kurdish state. Nevertheless,
the PKK (seen by the UN as a terrorist organization) supports the nationalization of the means of production, fights for women's rights, and carries out education and organisational work among the population. In the ranks of the guerrilla formations of the PKK are fighters from mainly poor peasant families.
It has to be emphasized that the development of the productive forces which the author writes about, can only be realized after the dictatorship of the proletariat has been established as a result of the victory of a socialist revolution. The ruling Russian bourgeoisie are in no way interested in the development of high-tech industry or the introduction of new technologies into the industrial sphere, because they are only interested in pumping out minerals from Russian land (and flogging them cheap to the West to get rich quick - ed. Fb).
To demand that the bourgeoisie of Russia develop productive forces, whilst forgetting
the need to change production relations, means helping them increase their exploitation of the proletariat on the one hand, and with this, "improve" or “modernise” capitalism, on the other. The essence of reformism, according to Vladimir Ilyich Lenin, lies in reducing the evil, but not destroying it completely. Bolsheviks stand FOR the complete and utter destruction of the evil itself.

REVIEW OF THE LABOUR MOVEMENT (1 - FEBRUARY 15, 2013)
Samara seamen strike at the port of Makhachkala
The crew of the vessel "Nefterudovoz-10M", owned by LLC "Samara shipping agency", on February 1, went on strike due to unpaid wages.
The employer owes the sailors more than 4 million roubles. The last time the agency issued salaries was in July 2012.
The vessel sailed from Turkmenbashi (Turkmenistan) with its cargo of hydro-treated diesel fuel to Makhachkala (Dagestan). Now the ship is at anchor in Makhachkala. The crew said that the ship will not enter the port as long as the situation is not cleared up regarding salaries.

Leningrad migrant street cleaners fight for their wages
In Leningrad (St. Petersburg), migrant street cleaners picketed the offices of "Zhilkomservis № 3 of Frunze district" demanding their pay for the last 2 months.
We recall that in October 2012, 50 migrant cleaning workers from Tajikistan went on strike because they were not paid wages for three months. In the state of "Zhilkomservisa No 2 of Nevsky district" the cleaners were not accounted for, and the company that hired people to work and left without salaries, proved very difficult to track down.

Strike action in Brest
On the morning of 8 February, workers at the machine shop in the "Kompo" machine building plant in Brest refused to begin working.
The reason for the protest was the failure of the administration to pay bonuses. As a result, high qualified turners and millers who have been unhappy about the size of their salaries at the company (the last time, it was about 2-3 million Belarus roubles, or about 10 thousand Russian roubles a month), decided to carry out a warning strike.
The director of "Kompo" Mikhail Belousov met with the workers and explained the situation to the fact that in the early years at the company, which specializes in the production of equipment for the meat industry, there have been problems with the sale of the finished product. For this reason he had decided not to award a bonus for work done in January. But after listening to the arguments of the workers, the plant manager promised to settle the matter all the same, and to pay the bonuses later, and even find a way to raise wages. Upon hearing these promises, the workers at “Kompo” began work.
Interestingly, in this conflict situation, the trade union at the plant which seems to be created for the protection of workers' rights, did not appear once.

Ukraine. Chemical plant workers stage protest
After long-term unpaid leave (since the start of January), the workers at a chemical plant, as instructed, came back to work on February 11. But yet again they were sent back on unpaid leave until early March. Therefore, about 150 people gathered firstly at the factory entrance, then marched to the administrative building to demand an explanation from management.
When the people entered the building and began to climb the stairs, the plant manager tried slipping past them and onto the street. When he was stopped by the workers, he pretended not to understand what it was about.
A protest rally was held at the entrance to the factory management building. Workers set up an action team and were preparing direct action including road blocks. In addition, they have stated willingness go to the capital Kiev to protest if they are not heard at a local level.

In Batumi drivers go on strike whilst in Chiatura – the miners take strike action
In Batumi (Georgia) municipal bus drivers recently went on strike. The strikers, in particular, are demanding a higher hourly rate at twice what they are getting now.
As the drivers stated, they have a long list of demands, but most importantly – an increase in the hourly pay from 2.70 GEL to 5 GEL.
In Chiatura (Imereti region, western Georgia) miners once again took large-scale strike action. The strikers demand, in particular, an increase in the number of days for their holidays.
Work stopped at five local mines owned by Georgian Marganese. The action was supported by workers at three plants owned by the company.
Miners descended into mine shafts and have refused to come up to the surface until their demands are met.
The strikers demand that their holidays are increased from 28 to 48 days, and they also insist that they should be guaranteed the right to rest on public holidays. The miners are not demanding a pay rise, according to "Georgia Online”.
According to the agency "Trend", the strikers have also been demanding a change of company boss.

Striking miners in Colombia
Employees of the company Carbones del Cerrejon have been on strike, demanding better working conditions. During the negotiations, an agreement was reached. The preliminary term has passed, but the company has not made an offer that meets the demands of the workers.
After the talks ended without agreement, 98 percent of workers at Carbones del Cerrejon voted in favour of taking strike action.

INDUSTRY MATTERS IN BRITAIN
Passengers and workers out against rising fares
Thursday 14 February 2013
Enraged passengers and transport workers recently rallied outside dozens of stations across the country against "daylight robbery" rail fares.
The FareFail protests, led by the Together For Transport coalition, called on passengers to pile the pressure on MPs to stop skyrocketing rail fares.
Price rises since last month have seen regulated fares across Britain go up by an average 4.2 per cent‚ when inflation is projected at 3 per cent.
The rise also marks the third year in a row of fare increases outstripping both inflation and increases in earnings, going by 5.9 per cent last year and 6.2 per cent the year before.
All in all average fares have increased by 22 per cent in real terms since British Rail was privatised in 1995, with commuters paying the highest rates in Europe for day returns and season tickets.

Metro cleaners stage week-long strike
Wednesday 13 February 2013
Train cleaners have stepped up their campaign for a living wage with Tyne and Wear Metro workers set to stage a week-long strike while workers in Wales vote on action.
Cleaners working for Churchill on the Tyne and Wear Metro will walk out for seven days from 10.30pm on Friday in their long-running dispute for fair pay.
It coincides with a massive anti-cuts march and rally in Newcastle on Saturday.
Meanwhile RMT members employed by Churchill and working at Arriva Trains Wales recently received ballot papers today for industrial action as they fight for better pay and conditions.

Workers and students fight Sussex council cuts
Tuesday 12 February 2013
Hundreds of trade unionists and students recently united to stage two major anti-cuts demonstrations in Sussex.
Protestors gathered outside Lewes County Hall to call on the council to not cut important local services.
And hundreds of protesters then joined a huge demonstration in solidarity with students occupying Sussex University's conference centre.
The occupation is a last-ditch attempt to stop Sussex University outsourcing jobs that unions believe will put 235 people out of work.
Around 40 students barricaded themselves in the centre and over 100 students packed out a meeting to plan the way forward.
As well as receiving solidarity messages from dozens of trade unions, the occupation has been backed by well-known figures such as Bafta-winning actor Peter Capaldi, who played Malcolm Tucker in The Thick of It.

MORE FRUITLESS AUSTERITY, MORE WELFARE CUTS
RESIST THE DIVIDE-AND-RULE TACTICS OF THE RULING CLASS.
By the CPGB-ML. Source: Proletarian Online

When the International Monetary Fund (IMF) – the international body that promotes privatisation, public spending cuts and reduced governance across the globe – says that it’s time for the British government to re-think its austerity measures, then it really is time to worry.
Olivier Blanchard, the IMF’s chief economist, stated that “if things look bad at the beginning of 2013, which they do, there should be a reassessment of fiscal policy”. His advice echoes the organisation’s recent findings that the impact of spending cuts on UK economic growth was two-to-three times greater than first imagined. (See ‘Time for Plan B?’ by Ben Chu, Independent, 24 January 2013)
Blanchard’s comments came just days before the Office of National Statistics confirmed that the UK economy contracted by 0.3 percent in the last three months of 2012 – and is likely to enter an unprecedented ‘triple-dip recession’ in the coming months. While the previous quarter offered the government respite, with misleading growth figures due to Olympic spending, these statistics are a sobering reflection of the failed policy of austerity. The manufacturing, mining and quarrying sector, for example, fell by 10.8 percent, the greatest decline since records began, while the services sector, so vital to the UK economy, due not least to the steady decimation of manufacturing, stagnated. (See ‘UK economy shrank at end of 2012’ BBC News Online, 25 January 2013)
In response to these comments, George Osborne shrugged that he and his government have “the right deficit-reduction plan”. The Chancellor, speaking after the World Economic Forum in Davos, explained that he believed Britain’s “credibility” would be at risk if policy direction was now altered: “Credibility is very hard won and easily lost,” he said, “and I think it would be a huge mistake to put that at risk”. (‘George Osborne ignores IMF’s warnings on austerity plans’ by Heather Stewart, Guardian, 25 January 2013)
However, it would be too simple to interpret the government’s stubborn commitment to austerity as short-sighted, poor economics. Osborne, one of many millionaire cabinet members, is pressing ahead with vicious spending cuts and sweeping privatisation measures in a deliberate, considered attempt to pass the burden of the capitalist economic crisis onto the backs of the poor – and his government faces little credible opposition to this strategy.
Speaking at the end of last year, as the government prepared to announce it would be capping annual rises in benefits to one percent – effectively cutting benefits year-on-year for millions of society’s most vulnerable people, since official inflation currently stands at nearly 3 percent, while rises in prices of energy, food and transport (which account for a disproportionate percentage of the budgets of the poor) have been far higher – the Chancellor took pleasure in contrasting the “striver” with the “shirker”, the “shift-worker” with the “scrounger”, the person that rises early in the morning to work tirelessly for their family with the unemployed neighbour whose blinds are always closed. (See ‘Caps on benefits ... will worsen poverty, say critics’ by Randeep Ramesh, Guardian, 5 December 2012)
Such sensationalism evokes the cruel Victorian distinction of ‘deserving’ and ‘undeserving’ poor, and reveals how our rulers rely on encouraging prejudice in order to divide workers and persuade them to accept the ‘inevitability’ of these measures.
The state’s divisive rhetoric regarding those it wishes to brand as “feckless” and “irresponsible” is today being used as a battering ram against our hard-earned rights and welfare provision. Any honest observation would show that deindustrialisation, neo-liberal reform and a weakened trade-union movement have only exacerbated the innate inability of capitalism to provide full employment – and, hence, the need for a comprehensive welfare system to ameliorate its worst effects.
Under a barrage of propaganda, however, fear and scapegoating has replaced reason and inevitably introduced panic amongst British workers, many of whom, in a most unfortunate act of self-sabotage, have been persuaded by such insidious ‘divide-and-rule’ arguments to support widespread welfare ‘reform’ – usually a code-word for slashing benefits and public services. (See ‘Editorial: Rich and poor: deserving and undeserving’, Guardian, 27 January 2013)
Whilst trade unions and so-called left-wing organisations have rightly criticised the ConDem government’s commitment to austerity, much of this has been ineffectual and contradictory, as they continue to promote the Labour party as a serious (don’t laugh) alternative – even as Labour councils implement cuts with zero resistance. Moreover, Ed Balls, Shadow Chancellor, has publicly declared that he “can make no commitment now to reverse any of those cuts or the tax rises”. (BBC Breakfast News, 1 October 2012)
The champions of social democracy, which in Britain constitutes the Labour party and the various opportunist left groups that promote it, are quite happy to build their careers by criticising ‘Tory cuts’, but are completely unable and unwilling to explain to British workers the real cause of capitalist crises – as it would expose their complicity in maintaining this system of exploitation.
Their role, as history has shown, is to go amongst the workers, absorb their anger, and then deliberately misdirect it into, at best, reformism and meaningless banner-waving and marching. Every labour dispute, every workers’, students’ or unemployed people’s movement that emerges during the recession that aligns itself with social democracy is bound to become embroiled in this charade and diverted away from genuine, revolutionary class struggle.
In striking contrast, it is the duty of any principled communist to introduce a Marxist analysis to workers. Whilst the majority of people, particularly the young, can now see that Labour is not a party that represents the interests of the working class, we must go further and shatter the illusion of it being a ‘lesser of two evils’. The Tories, of course, personify British elitism, but it is the Labour party that has suffocated all meaningful attempts to organise against and ultimately replace capitalism.
The ongoing crisis, which has seen our standard of living plummet and tossed an entire generation of young people onto the rubbish tip, is the result of capitalist overproduction; the fundamental flaw in capitalist economics that compels bosses to reduce workers’ wages and lay them off in order to increase profits, even as they churn out increasing numbers of goods that the impoverished masses cannot afford to buy.
However, capitalism will not vanish by economic crisis alone but from the conquest of political power by the working class. Our first step towards achieving this is to expose the bankruptcy of social democracy and introduce Marxism Leninism – scientific socialism that has produced proletarian revolutions across the world – into the working-class movement.
