1. 64TH ANNIVERSARY OF THE VICTORY OF THE KOREAN PEOPLE IN THE FATHERLAND LIBERATION WAR AGAINST US IMPERIALISM.

July 27th is Korea's Second Liberation Day , the Day of Victory in the great Fatherland Liberation War against US imperialism and 15 satellite countries of the US including the UK and France .

   The Korean people under the leadership of the great leader generalissimo KIM IL SUNG  inflicted a massive defeat on the US .

In Korea  in the short time of 3 years over a million US  and south Korean puppet soldiers were killed , wounded or captured . The infamous anti-communist senator J R McCarthy of the US said that the US had suffered a serious defeat in Korea . The defeat in Korea was the beginning of a downhill slide for the US which saw it defeated in Vietnam, Laos ,Cambodia , Iran and many parts of the third world.

 The victory of People's Korea was due the outstanding military command of the great leader generalissimo KIM IL SUNG , an ever victorious iron-willed brilliant commander  and military strategic genius  as well the heroism and self-sacrifice of the heroic Korean People's Army and Korean people. During the Fatherland Liberation War  great generalissimo KIM IL SUNG applied unique Juche-based military tactics.

  Now the DPRK is a 100 time and a 1000 times stronger than in the 1950s . Only final defeat awaits the US in Korea !

2. UK KFA CONDEMNS FCO INTERFERENCE IN PEOPLE'S KOREA  !

The UK Korean Friendship Association issued the following statement today in connection with the publication of the so-called 'Human Rights and Democracy Report 2016" by the UK Foreign and Commonwealth Office, which gravely slandered the Democratic People's Republic of Korea over the human rights issue :

                                      

   We totally condemn and reject  the publication of the 'Human Rights and Democracy Report 2016'

by the UK Foreign and Commonwealth Office .

 Firstly, it constitutes gross interference in the internal affairs of the Democratic People's Republic of Korea . As it slanders the socialist system of the DPRK and denies the independence of the DPRK and the right of the DPRK to choose its own system and idea , it is a hostile act against People's Korea and severely detrimental to building friendly and beneficial relations with People's Korea .

 Secondly, the report is just full of lies and slanders. The report is not based on objective evidence but instead on accounts from 'defectors ' from the DPRK as well US imperialists and south Korean puppets.It looks like it has been copied and pasted from the US goverment and south Korean puppet regime. Basically , the UK FCO is simply adding to the pile of anti-DPRK propaganda and fake news .                                                           

 Thirdly , there is no human rights problem in the DPRK. The people of  enjoy the right to housing , to education , to free medical care , to work and even have holidays paid for a state expense ! Everyone in the DPRK  supports dear respected Marshal KIM JONG UN and the Workers Party of Korea and they are happy to build socialism. The great  Juche Idea which stresses the independence and creativity of man and also always stresses the role of ideology rather than seeking to use administrative or coercive methods to mobilise people for socialist construction.So basically there cannot be such a thing as a "human rights "problem" in the DPRK.

                                                

   Moreover the People's Korea is a true people's democracy based on the Juche idea and the single-hearted unity of the people around dear respected Marshal KIM JONG UN and the Workers' Party of Korea. In the DPRK virtually 100 per cent of electors vote in elections whereas in the UK the turnout at the last general election (which was said to be a record high) was 68.8 per cent . It is ironic that a government elected by only 30 per cent of the electorate is lecturing a country where the government is elected by nearly 100 per cent of electors . The UK needs to put its own house in order before it is criticises. In the DPRK the electors also have the right to recall deputies.

  Fourthly, it is very hypocritical for the UK goverment to take issue with People's Korea over human rights when you have the situation in the UK where people have to go to foodbanks for food. In the UK there are people denied the right to work, the right to housing , the right to security in old age and many other rights. There is a very long list of human rights violations by the UK which would take a long time to list. In the past the UK has violated human rights in other countries when it had colonies such as Kenya  and Malaya.The DPRK has never had colonies , never had troops or military bases in other countries nor tried to impose its will on other countries.

                                              

 Fiftly, the FCO report is really about 'regime change '  in the DPRK , not human rights. What the FCO mean when they talk grandly about extending 'human rights' and 'democracy ' , is to support the overthrow of the people-centred , Juche-based socialist system and restore the capitalist system. The FCO is colluding with the US imperialists and the south Korean fascist puppets in their anti-DPRK campaign to topple socialism in People's Korea and make it a colony of US imperialism. The report reeks of British imperialist arrogance.

 UK KFA calls for the FCO and British government to end their interference in the DPRK and also to pursue an independent foreign policy free from US influence. The British government should drop the daydream of regime change in the DPRK and instead  fully respect the independence of the DPRK and its socialist system , The UK should build mutually benefical and friendly relations with the DPRK.

STATEMENT OF THE STAFFORDSHIRE BRANCH OF THE UK KFA"ON THE TRAVEL BAN FOR US CITIZENS TO THE DPRK"

The Staffordshire branch of the Korean Friendship Association totally condemns any sort of travel ban for US citizens to the Democratic Peoples Republic of Korea, as a retrograde and counter-productive move. At a time, when tourism and cultural exchange is increasing between countries, the Trump Administration is putting a barrier on people to people contacts.

Using the case of Otto Warmbier, as a pretext, the US is attempting to isolate the DPRK on the international arena. The DPRK is infact not alone, but admire and respected by millions of people throughout the world for its dignified defence of socialism and independence. It is the US Imperialists who are behaviouring like tyrants, denying their citizens the opportunity to see the DPRK for themselves. Are the ruling circles in Washington DC that afraid of the people of the United States knowing the reality of Juche Korea first hand by means of travel?

The banning of travel to the DPRK will impact most of all, the Korean community who reside in the United States. This punitive measure will thwart the opportunity for family reunions and travel for the overseas Koreans to their ancestral homeland, the DPRK. By enforcing this travel ban, the Trump Administration is acting in a racist and cruel manner against the aspirations of the Koreans who want the chance to visit the DPRK.

The Staffordshire KFA Branch calls upon people of goodwill to oppose the travel ban on US citizens going to the DPRK. We urge progressive people to conduct vigorous campaign to halt Trump's reactionary travel ban!!

4.SPECIAL ARTICLE ON THE DPRK ECONOMY

Something that is being shared a lot and commented on is a report from the south Korean puppet Bank of Korea about the DPRK economy . The headline in Reuters says "North Korea 2016 economic growth at 17-year high despite sanctions: South Korea" . This news is being carried by all sorts of news outlets  even the every right wing  "The Daily Mail".

In fact the 3.9 per cent figure, that is quoted by the media for  the DPRK'seconomic growth is actually a gross underestimate . The real figure is much higher than that , probably several times that. The DPRK media have reported increases in industrial output value for several industries as being 20 per or 30 per cent year on increases . For example during the 70 Day Campaign in the spring of 2016 industrial out value shot up by 1.6 times or 60 per cent as compared to the previous year. So the figures produced by the south Korean puppets are actually very mean indeed and do not accurately reflect the high speed growth of the DPRK economy.

      In the past the DPRK raced ahead at Chollima speed (Chollima being a mythical horse that could cover a 1,000 kilometres in one day , now the Korean people under the leadership of dear respected Marshal KIM JONG UN have created a new speed , Mallima speed (Mallima is said to fly 10,000 kilometres per day)

  

                              

What they are not telling people is even the grudging 3.9 per cent figure is higher than the 2.7 per cent growth claimed for the south Korean puppet economy , abour 40 per cent higher .In fact the reactionaries do not know that the term “Korean Miracle “ was first used by the famous Cambridge economist  Professor Joan V Robinson to describe the DPRK . Writing the highly respected journal "Monthly Review " in 1964 that she said that“"Eleven years ago in Pyongyang there was not one stone standing upon another. (They reckon that one bomb, of a ton or more, was dropped per head of population.) Now a modern city of a million inhabitants stands on two sides of the wide river, with broad tree-lined streets of five-story blocks, public buildings, a stadium, theatres (one underground surviving from the war) and a super-de luxe hotel. The industrial sector comprises a number of up-to-date textile mills and a textile machinery plant. The wide sweep of the river and little tree-clad hills preserved as parks provide agreeable vistas. There are some patches of small gray and white houses hastily built from rubble, but even there the lanes are clean, and light and water are laid on. A city without slums."”

The highly respected UK social scientist Malcolm Caldwell who was a lecturer at School of Oriental and African Studies . In his book "The Wealth of Some Nations " he notes that from 1954 to 1970/71 the DPRK rate of industrial output growth was 23.5% whereas that of south Korea was 15.3% so the DPRKs rate of growth was over 50 % higher(siimilar to now) 

   It is worth pointing that the DPRK has enjoyed 17 years of straight economic growth and was unaffected by the 2008 crisis of the capitalist countries. Unlike south Korea, the DPRK did not need to be bailed out by the IMF. In fact the DPRK does not know austerity. 

The various media commentators  do correctly point out that the DPRK's economic growth has been achieved despite sanctions. However they do not go deep enough in their analysis . Not only is the DPRK's economic growth higher than that of south Korea but most importantly it is self-reliant economic growth, the basic engine for the DPRK's growth is the Juche-based independent national economy, whereas as south Korea's "growth " is based entirely on foreign capital and loans .

Finally , in the DPRK economic growth is used entirely for the people's , it goes to increasing wages, building new housing , schools and hospital whereas in south Korea and other capitalist countries any money from increased economic growth goes into the pockets of the capitalists. Also in south Korea ,which is most perverse and crazy place , money from south Korean taxpayers is paid to the US Army for so upkeep expenses  so that economic growth in south Korea not only benefits local and international capitalists but also the US imperialist occupation army . Visiting the DPRK over a five year period from 2012 to 2017 I have witnessed whole new streets ,which are in effect the size of small towns, such as Changjon Street, Mirae Scientists Street and Ryomyong Street being constturcted and completed. In the DPRK people's real wages are augmented by stuff like free housing as well as free medical care etc.

 So bascially even figures from the south Korean puppets and the capialist media prove what we in the Association for the Study of Songun Politics , Juche Idea Study Group of England and UK Korean Friendship Association have known for a very long time : that the Juche-based independnet national economy is superior . Juche-based economics work and deliver a high growth rate.

Strike in Podmoskovie

On July 6 in Podolsk, workers and other employees of a transport company organized a protest. The fact is that in connection with the decrease in passenger traffic, the heads of this organization increased the requirement for a financial plan and, therefore, intended to strengthen the exploitation of workers. The strikers opposed this decision, because the new conditions are very difficult to implement.

At the same time, about half of the employees quit after the strike or went on leave. Strike by drivers in Vladivostok

In early July, public transport workers of the Primorye capital held a protest action. The drivers refused to take out more than 40 buses onto their routes.

The strike was caused by the arbitrariness of policemen from the traffic police, who claimed that drivers drive on roads illegally. The strikers do not agree with this. According to them, transport by the beginning of this strike was checked three times.

Mass protest in Kuibyshev

On July 8, a rally for the return of benefits to pensioners and the resignation of the head of the regional administration Merkushkin was held in front of the Sports Palace of the Aviation Plant.

Hundreds of citizens came to the square. Among them were pensioners, workers and representatives of the leftist parties.

A picket against poverty was held in Zabaikalia

Strike by health workers in Latvia

In early July, the mass indefinite strike of doctors continued. Hundreds of doctors during the strike, which was supported by the Latvian Health Workers' Union, demanded an increase in the budget financing of the industry.

Public opinion on the placement of memorable signs has been formed quite clearly to-day: more than half of Russians (62%) agree with the opinion that boards, busts, pictures, etc., telling about Stalin's successes, should be placed in public places.

It is interesting that the main motive for agreeing with the installation of attributes containing some information about Stalin is the argument for observing the historical truth. IN DONETSK A NEW STATE HAS BEEN PROCLAIMED – MALOROSSIA

A historic event, the signing of the political declaration on the creation of a new state, which will become the legal successor of “Ukraine”, took place today, on July 18th, in the capital of the Donetsk People’s Republic. The new state formation will consist of 19 regions of the former Ukraine and will be called Malorossia with the center of the new state in Donetsk. Kiev remains a historical and cultural center without the capital city status. A correspondent of the official website of the DPR reported this from the scene.
          “All of us have gathered here together to talk about the future. We propose a plan for the reintegration of the country through the law and Constitution. We must build a new country in which the concepts of conscience and honor are not forgotten. We offer Ukrainian citizens a peaceful way out of the difficult situation, without the war. This is our last offer not only to the Ukrainians, but also to all countries that supported the civil war in Donbass. I am convinced that we will do everything possible and impossible,” Head of the DPR Alexander Zakharchenko addressed the audience.
        The event was visited by Head of the DPR Alexander Zakharchenko, adviser to the Head Zakhar Prilepin, Deputy Chairman of the Council of Ministers, Minister of Revenues and Duties of the Republic Alexander Timofeev, as well as representatives of most regions that formerly were part of Ukraine.
          All present delegates unanimously voted in an open ballot for signing the political declaration on the creation of Malorossia with the center in Donetsk.
 “Malorossia is a federal state with broad powers of autonomy of the regions. The right of regional languages ​​is guaranteed to be retained, the flag of Bogdan Khmelnitsky is recognized as the national flag,” Alexander Timofeev cited the constitutional act.

Forty Fighting Years!

FORTY YEARS is a long time in anyone’s book. For a Party that some said would only last six weeks it’s an immense achievement said Andy Brooks at the New Communist Party’s (NCP’s) foundation day celebration at the historic Marx Memorial Library in London last weekend. The NCP leader paid tribute to all the effort, sacrifice and hardship that comrades had endured to ensure the survival of the Party over the years, during the formal part of the commemoration on Sunday.

Comrades gathered in the hallowed hall of the building that was once the centre for the pioneering socialists of the 19th century and the base for Lenin, who worked there for nearly two years editing Iskra, the Bolshevik newspaper that was smuggled into Czarist Russia to help build the revolutionary movement.

“We are the party of Lenin and Stalin but we are also the party of Sid French and Eric Trevett,” Andy Brooks said. Sid and Eric were lifelong communists who founded the NCP in 1977 on the principles of working-class unity, Marxism-Leninism and proletarian internationalism. Forty years later the NCP and its weekly paper, the New Worker, continue to keep up the fight. This was reflected in the contributions from the honoured guests that included old friends from the Italian communist movement (PC) and the Revolutionary Communist Party of Britain (ML) along with ambassadors and other diplomats from Cuba, Democratic Korea, Laos and Vietnam.

Two ambassadors, Laotian Comrade Sayakane Sisouvong and Comrade Nguyen Van Thao from Vietnam, spoke highly about the NCP’s solidarity work, and Comrade Jorge Luis Garcia from Cuba warned about the new American threats to the socialist island in the Caribbean. The consistent work in solidarity with the Democratic People’s Republic of Korea was highlighted by Comrade Song Gi Kim from the Democratic Korean embassy and this was also taken up by Dermot Hudson, the chair of the UK Korean Friendship Association (KFA).

National Chair Alex Kempshall recalled the NCP’s efforts over the decades to build working class and communist unity when he called on Michael Chant of the RCPB (ML) to say a few words about the long-standing friendship between our two parties. And soon after Michael and Lesley Larkum, both accomplished musicians, played an interlude of light classical music that included a Korean folk-song and a piece arranged by one of their comrades, Cornelius Cardew, who died in mysterious circumstances in 1981.

No NCP celebration ends without an appeal for the fighting fund and this was given in rousing style by our national treasurer, Daphne Liddle. It clearly went down well with the comrades who raised £1,338 for the New Worker on the day!

July 8 - Day of Remembrance of the Great Leader of the DPRK

On July 8, 1994, the Great Leader of the Korean people died (April 15, 1912 - July 8, 1994), the Great Commander, the creator of the Korean Workers' Party (October 10, 1945), the founder of the Socialist state of the DPRK (September 9, 1948), the founder of the Korean People's Army (April 25, 1932) Comrade Kim Il Sung. All the named titles speak for themselves, for the enormous creative work that the outstanding revolutionary of the twentieth century has devoted his whole life to the father of the Korean socialist nation (as he is called in the DPRK), Comrade Kim Il Sung.

He created the Juche theory and developed the Songun politics, which led to the peaceful independent development of the DPRK, while the Soviet Union ceased to exist under the blows of the inner fifth column, which had a powerful help to our internal enemies from the West, and because of betrayal of the interests of the people and rejection of politics of the the dictatorship of the proletariat in the person of the highest Party nomenclature of the CPSU, beginning with Khrushchev, Kosygin and further - Gorbachev, Yeltsin,

Kim Il Sung created a powerful socialist power in Northeast Asia and raised the banner of the anti-imperialist and national liberation struggle in this region of the world. The possibility of the successful construction of a socialist state with reliance only on one's own forces in the hardest period for the world communist movement after the 20th Congress of the CPSU and further - after the termination of the functioning of the USSR - became a guiding star in the struggle for the independence of the semi-colonial peoples of Asia and Africa. The solid economic and political platform for the building of the socialist state created under Kim Il Sung provided the DPRK with a powerful leap forward with the creation of its nuclear weapons for self-defense against pre-emptive American aggression with a worthy successor to the cause of Kim Il Sung under the comrades Kim Jong-il and later under Kim Jong-un . The name of the Great Leader, Comrade Kim Il Sung, is forever inscribed in gold letters in the history of independent Korea.

1.REPORT OF DPRK ACADEMY OF NATIONAL DEFENCE

Pyongyang, July 4 (KCNA) -- The Academy of Defence Science of the Democratic People's Republic of Korea released the following report Tuesday:

Scientists and technicians of the DPRK Academy of Defence Science successfully carried out the test-fire of inter-continental ballistic rocket Hwasong-14, newly researched and developed by them under the strategic decision of Kim Jong Un, chairman of the Workers' Party of Korea, chairman of the State Affairs Commission of the DPRK and supreme commander of the Korean People's Army.

The rocket blasted off from the northwestern part of the DPRK at 9:00, July 4, Juche 106 (2017) to make 39 minute flight along its pre-set trajectory before accurately hitting the target waters in the open sea in the East Sea of Korea.

The test-launch was carried out at the maximum angle launch system and had no adverse effect on the security of neighboring countries.

The rocket flew 933km, reaching an altitude of 2, 802km.

Kim Jong Un, Supreme Leader of our party, state and the army, personally observed the process of the test-launch in field and solemnly declared before the world its shining success.

The success in the test-fire of inter-continental ballistic rocket Hwasong-14, final gate to rounding off the state nuclear force, at just one go is a powerful manifestation of the invincible state might and the tremendous capability of the self-reliant national defence industry of Juche Korea that has advanced at a remarkably rapid pace under the great Workers' Party of Korea's new line on the simultaneous development of the two fronts, and a great auspicious event to be specially recorded in the history of the DPRK which has long craved for powerful defence capabilities.

As a full-fledged nuclear power that has been possessed of the most powerful inter-continental ballistic rocket capable of hitting any part of the world, along with nuclear weapons, the DPRK will fundamentally put an end to the U.S. nuclear war threat and blackmail and reliably defend the peace and stability of the Korean peninsula and the region. -0

The Association For the Study of Songun Politics UK(ASSPUK), the Juche Idea Study Group of England(JISGE) , the UK Korean Friendship Association(UK KFA)and the British Solidarity Committee for Peace and Reunification on the Korean Peninsula(BSCPRKP) issued a joint statement on the successful test-fire of the Inter-continental Ballistic Rocket Hwasong-14 by People's Korea;
 At 9am on the 4th of July 2017 the Hwasong-14 Intercontinental Ballistic Missile(ICBM) blasted off from northwestern part of the DPRK in the presence of dear respected Marshal  Kim Jong Un, chairman of the Workers' Party of Korea, chairman of the State Affairs Commission of the DPRK and supreme commander of the Korean People's Army. The rocket flew 933km, reaching an altitude of 2, 802km. This means that the DPRK now has its own nuclear capable ICBM which can reach the US mainland . Without a doubt this is a great victory for Juche Korea !
 Firstly, we congratulate Juche Korea on the successful launch of the Hwasong-14 ICBM.  It means that the DPRK has  reached   the "final gate to rounding off the state nuclear force". Thus Juche Korea has emerged as a proud independent , socialist advanced nuclear power of Juche .
 Secondly, the test-fire of the Hwasong 14 demonstrates the correctness of the line of the Workers' Party of Korea on simultaenously developing the economy and nuclear force in parallel.
 Thirdly, the Hwasong 14 is the proud fruit of self-reliance and self-development . It has being constructed entirely with DPRK resources , technology, science and labour .It is a demonstration of the might of the independent , Juche-based national economy and shows that sanctions cannot affect the DPRK.
  Fouthly , the launch of the Hwasong 14 is a great victory for Songun politics and the Juche idea . It also shows the dynamism of the leadership of dear respected Marshal KIM JONG UN .
  Fithly, it is the independent sovereign right of  Juche Korea to take self-defensive measures including rocket tests especially when the US is conducting nuclear bomber flights across Korea . If the US does not like what has happened that it should withdrew its forces from south Korea and allow the Korean people to reunify their country .
  Finally, it the successful test-fire of the Hwasong 14 bravely and militantly defied US imperialism . By test-firing the rocket on the 4th of July Juche Korea has stuck 2 fingers up at Trump and the US imperialists. The DPRK has not only defied US imperialism but also the UNSC, EU, Japan , China and Russia  ! What other country in the world can do this ? The Hwasong 14 test fire has struck a blow not only against US imperialism but against big-power chauvinism and international revisionism . We applaud Juche Korea for this feat !

The Yankee imperialists woke up to a shock on their "Independence Day "  , July the 4th ,  namely at
9am in the morning(DPRK Standard times) the Hwasong-14 Intercontinental Ballistic Missile (ICBM) was successfully test-fired under the guidance of dear respected Marshal KIM JONG UN , the Chairman of the Worker's Party of Korea and Chairman of the State Affairs Commission of the DPRK .
  The Hwasong -14 test-fire was a rude awakening for the arrogant and swaggering Yankees , who under Trump have become  the modern day Nazis,as they planned to celebrate July 4th , their so-called "Independence Day" . In fact July 4th basically meant the extermination of the native American Indians and slavery for Afro-Americans . The creation of the US led to misery for the peoples of the world as countless wars followed the creation of the US . Today the US is a corrupt and decadent global empire  with military bases all over the world including south Korea . Dear respected Marshal KIM JONG UN had sent a special surprise gift package to the US on their special day ! .
                       

 The test-fire of the Hwasong -14 was a resounding success The rocket blasted off from the northwestern part of the DPRK at 9:00, July 4, Juche 106 (2017) to make 39 minute flight along its pre-set trajectory before accurately hitting the target waters in the open sea in the East Sea of Korea. The rocket flew 933km, reaching an altitude of 2, 802km  .
   What the roar of the rocket's might engines signified is that the DPRK has now reached the final gate of a nuclear state. The DPRK has now reached the goal of an advanced ,independent nuclear power as it missiles can now strike the US mainland . The Yankees have yelped with pain as they realise that they would not be immune from a nuclear retaliatory strike by People's Korea should they ignite a war on the Korean peninsula.
 What the test fire of the Hwasong-14 signifies is the awesome power of Juche Korea, the power of Juche  and the power of Songun. Some elements routinely dismissed the military capablities of  Juche Korea and others sneered at the Juche idea . However the application of the Juche idea  as well as the administration of the Songun policy by the great leaders of Mt Paektu, President KIM IL SUNG, Chairman  KIM JONG IL and Marshal KIM JONG UN has resulted in the building of a powerful
independent state which is now an ICBM power. The  Hwasong 14 is the proud fruit of self-reliance and self-development . It has being constructed entirely with DPRK resources , technology, science and labour .It is a demonstration of the might of the independent , Juche-based national economy and shows that sanctions cannot affect the DPRK.  Those who once looked down on the DPRK and made jokes about its weapons are now stricken with fear. Those who scoffed at the Juche Idea and Songun idea now have to eat their words as it has been proved beyond doubt that Juche and Songun work and not only work but lead to prosperity and national power. Juche Korea upholding the banner of Juche and self-reliance rebuilt itself amidst the ruins of war and industrialised . Juche Korea became a proud state with full employment , free health care, free education and no taxation . The attainment of ICBM capability means that the DPRK has the means to defend these vital socialist gains from US and world imperialism.
                                   

  People's Korea led by dear respected Marshal KIM JONG UN can not only defend itself from US imperialism but can win a war for national reunification , a war to liberate south Korea from the colonial rule of US imperialism . This would be a great inspiration to the world progressive people and world anti-imperialist forces, a real shot in the arm after so many defeats and setbacks .
 Although the US imperialists and their followers are angry and shaking their fists in impotent rage at Juche Korea and also those cowardly two-faced sold-out countries are moaning about the Hwasong-14 , the world revolutionary peoples are looking up to Juche Korea with smiles of admiration . Juche Korea has become an inspiration for anti-imperialists as it is a fortress of militant anti-imperialism and a beacon of independence and socialism.
                                         

  Dear Marshal KIM JONG UN wisely declared that 'DPRK would neither put its nukes and ballistic rockets on the table of negotiations in any case nor flinch even an inch from the road of bolstering the nuclear force chosen by itself unless the U.S. hostile policy and nuclear threat to the DPRK are definitely terminated' 
  These words greatly inspire us and give us strength and confidence. In the past some socialist countries capitulated to US imperialism in a shameful manner.Khruschov of the USSR declared 'peaceful co-existence 'with imperialism and melted down tanks and guns. Brezhnev , the successor to Khruschov  agreed with the US imperialists to limit its strategic arms and Gorbachov the traitor of
all traitors dismantled the weaponry of the USSR .The US imperialists , the world imperialists , the big power chauvinists and international revisionists all fear and hate dear respected Marshal KIM JONG UN because they know that he is a revolutionary , an anti-imperialist and will never sell-out the interest of the Korean nation.
  Without a doubt the Hwasong -14 test fire was a great victory for Juche Korea and not just Juche Korea but the entire world revolutionary movement . The power of Juche that has been demonstrated by the test-fire greatly inspires us and the world anti-imperialist forces.

The UK Korean Friendship Association issued a statement today rejecting and condemning Foreign Secretary Boris  Johnson's statement on the Hwasong-14 ICBM test fire by the Democratic People's Republic of Korea :
 We totally reject and condemn the statement issued by the British Foreign Secretary Boris Johnson on the Hwasong -14 ICBM test by People's Korea because it is a flagrant and unwarranted violation of the DPRK's rights to independent self-defence and constitutes inteferference in the internal affairs of the DPRK.
  The ICBM test by People's Korea is a purely self-defensive measure , it is aimed at detering aggression and as such is not a threat to other countries. Leave the DPRK alone and they will leave you alone . The DPRK has long been exposed to the nuclear threat of the US and the US is conducting nuclear war exercises all the time on the Korean peninsula threatening the not only the security of the DPRK but the whole Asia-Pacific region !
  If Mr Johnson is so worried about nukes and ICBMs why isn't he condeming the US   which has the largest number of nuclear weapons in the world  and has many ICBMs and also carries out tests of missiles all the time . Britain itself has nuclear weapons and is going to renew Trident .
  The DPRK does not need permission from anyone whether it is Britain or the US or Japan or the UN to carry out missile tests . The DPRK has made it clear that it rejects the UN Security Council resolutions  against . The UNSC resolutions against the DPRK are illegal under international law so there is no need for the DPRK to be bound by them.
   As to Mr Johnson's allegations about 'starvation' in People's Korea. This is a complete falsehood. Delegations from UK KFA have visited the DPRK several times in the past few years and not seen one person starving or begging. Mr Johnson needs to be reminded that is it the UK that has Foodbanks not the DPRK.
   We again applaud the successful test-fire of the Hwasong-14 ICBM by the DPRK 
 The UK must follow a totally independent policy on Korea and not serve the interests of the United States . The UK should not be a party to US warmongering in Korea .

OVERVIEW OF THE LABOUR MOVEMENT ACROSS TERRITORY OF FORMER USSR IN THE SECOND HALF OF JUNE 2017

IN NOVGOROD, WORKERS BY STRIKES HAVE ACHIEVED THEIR DEMANDS

At the beginning of the twentieth of June, employees of a local road maintenance company announced a strike.

By the time the protest began, workers had not received a salary even in April. They are owed by the enterprise "Novgorodgorodtodor" and its contractors. After it became known about the strike, the workers were paid a large part of the detained money.

THE STRIKE BY BUILDERS IN THE ROSTOV REGION

From June 14 to June 19, a strike by more than 300 workers employed at a nuclear power plant in the city of Volgodonsk continued. People refused to leave their portacabins onto the territory of the construction site and start their duties.

The reason for the protest was the issuance of earnings for April in an extremely reduced amount. Usually, in addition to the salary of 7600 rubles, the workers are paid a bonus, and in general it is 35-50 thousand per month. But last month they were paid only a salary, and some received 1,5 thousand rubles, others - four, someone - eight. The head of the construction company Chernenko blatantly and cynically told the builders that "you have not earned enough to get more." This was the last straw, and a strike began.

STRIKE IN GORKY (NIZHNY NOVGOROD)

At the beginning of the second half of June, the employees of the Strizh train did not come to work in protest at the late delivery of salaries and the absence of vacation.

Four shifts of rolling stock cleaners took part in the strike, totaling over 60 people.

On May 31, the organization in which they worked again was replaced. Previous "employers" owe people a salary for May, as well as compensation for holidays for several months.

IN THE SVERDLOVSK REGION, A MASS MEETING OF EMPLOYEES OF THE MINING AND PROCESSING ENTERPRISE TOOK PLACE

ON June 27 in the city of Kachkanar about a thousand workers attended a large-scale protest. Employees of the local mining and processing plant at the rally demanded to stop the cuts and return the work to the already laid-off people. The organizer of the protest action was the trade union committee of the enterprise.

People are concerned about the decrease in the number of employees at the plant in recent years, as well as information about upcoming events aimed at reducing the number of employees.

The resolution adopted at the meeting stated that in two years the number of jobs at the town-forming enterprise decreased by about 650 people. At the same time, the production volumes reached a maximum for the whole period of the enterprise's operation. "Such large-scale reductions can not be explained either by the modernization of production or the improvement of technology. As a result, there is a shortage of jobs in production, and as a result an unreasonable increase in the intensification of labour of workers, "the document says. Thus, the capitalists who own the combine raise the rate of surplus-value and their profits at the expense of the increasing exploitation of the workers.

 

IN NOVGOROD, ANOTHER PROTEST WAS HELD AGAINST THE ANTI-UNION ACTIVITIES OF THE AUTHORITIES OF THE WELL-KNOWN FOOD CHAIN NETWORK

On June 17, a rally took place, in which over 40 activists took part. They opposed the anti-union policy pursued by the heads of the chain of stores "Magnit" in Novgorod.

Since the last rally in support of an independent trade union organization, the administration has not changed its actions with regard to uniting workers. Trade union members continue to be intimidated, to apply improper disciplinary sanctions to them and to try to dismiss them. The authorities continue to exert pressure on the trade unionists known to them. Attempts are made to substitute workers, find fault with the performance of their work duties, the norms of labour protection and, under this pretext, get rid of them.

The trade union of the chain of stores from the autumn of last year regularly organizes protest actions. Its activists demand to stop pressure on the workers who joined the trade union.

Stalin still remains the leader in the survey of Russians about the most outstanding personalities in history

Moscow. 26 June. INTERFAX.RU - The sociologists of the Levada Center asked Russians to name the most outstanding people of all time and in the first five: Joseph Stalin (38%), Vladimir Putin and Alexander Pushkin (34% each), Vladimir Lenin (32%) , Peter I (29%).

During the same survey in 2012, the first five places were taken by the same individuals, but their names were located in a different order. In the first place was also Stalin (42%), followed by Lenin and Peter I (37% each), Pushkin (29%), Putin (22%).

This year, Yuri Gagarin (20%), Leo Tolstoy (12% versus 24% in 2012), Georgy Zhukov (12%), Ekaterina II and Mikhail Lermontov (11% each) entered the top ten of the rating, Interfax was informed in the Levada Center.

In the second ten of the rating: Mikhail Lomonosov, Alexander Suvorov, Dmitry Mendeleev (10% each), Napoleon I (9%), Leonid Brezhnev (8%), Albert Einstein, Sergei Yesenin, Mikhail Kutuzov, Isaak Newton (7% each) Mikhail Gorbachev (6%).

The sum of percentages of all answers exceeds 100%, since the respondents themselves named the names and could indicate several variants of the answer.

The poll was conducted on April 7-10 among 1,600 people aged 18 and over in 137 settlements of 48 regions of the Russian Federation.

In the Moscow Law Academy, the memorial plaque of IV. Stalin restored.

The memorial board says that on June 17, 1924, Joseph Vissarionovich Stalin presented a report on the results of the Thirteenth Congress of the RCP (B.) At a meeting of course attendees and secretaries of the regional committee of the RCP (B.). It was established on the 20-XII of 1949.



In the press center of the Moscow State Law University named after O.E. Kutafina (MGUA) it was reported that the memorial plaque with a mention of the speeches in the 1st hall of the University in 1924, J.V. Stalin was established in accordance with the current and to the present day of the legislation of the RSFSR on the protection of cultural monuments in the RSFSR.
