APPEAL TO THE PUBLIC BY POLITICAL PRISONER ANDREI YAKOVENKO
10.06.2011 10:19
In 2005, when my transfer was due from a closed prison to an open prison camp, the State Department of Corrections and the administration Sokiryanskaya colony, knowing that I had a bad heart, carried out my transfer at the height of summer heat in the month of June - July. And the growing zeros for my transfer from the Chernivtsi region of Donetsk has gone on for more than a month. Then, that summer heat seriously undermined my health, which then took a long time to recover.
Six years have passed. And yet again, under a false pretext of alleged further investigation, the grounds for which there can be none, I am going to be sent to Odessa at the height of the summer heat. My health condition does not allow it. Consequently, my transportation to Odessa is an ambition by thepunitive machine to kill me because stepping in the midst of the summer heat poses a real threat to my life.
I appeal to my associates, comrades who are free, all concerned citizens, political and social organizations: do everything in your power to ensure this does not go ahead: write a letter of protest and appeal to the GDUIN, Ministry of Justice, Human Rights Committee, hold pickets outside the relevant authorities, etc.
Awaiting for your help and support in preventing tyranny and violence used against me with the help of blazing summer heat.

JUNE 3, PICKET AT THE U.S. EMBASSY IN MOSCOW IN DEFENSE OF THE CUBAN FIVE AND A RALLY TO PROTEST AGAINST NATO'S INTERVENTION IN LIBYA
07.06.2011 11:25
On June 3 this year, one after the other two public events were held in Moscow in which the Moscow organization of the AUCPB participated. The first was a picket near the U.S. Embassy in Moscow, demanding the release of the heroic Cuban Five, held as part of an international campaign.
At the Pushkin Square, a rally was held, which well presented the topic of condemning the blatant aggression by the U.S. and its allies against the courageous people of Libya and of major international importance of the struggle of the Libyan people for a just world order.
