ABOUT THE AUCPB

The All-Union Communist Party of Bolsheviks (AUCPB), inheriting Bolshevik principles of the R.S.D.W.P. -R.S.D.W.P.(b) - A.U.C.P.(b) - of Lenin's policiy in the CPSU, is the highest form of proletarian class organisation, advanced detachment of the working class, acting in unity with the peasantry and labour intelligentsia, standing on the Party's positions for: the gain of political power - overthrowing the dictatorship of the bourgeoisie and establishment of the dictatorship of the proletariat, the destruction of private ownership over the instuments and means of production, the revival of the USSR, the further strenghtening of the proletarian interests for the complete victory of socialism and gradual transition to communism. The ideological and theoretical basis of the AUCPB is formed by Marx, Engels, Lenin, Stalin, is their doctrine in its creative application and development in modern conditions. The AUCPB is a component of the global communist movement with the aim of communism triumphing over the whole planet.

BARNAUL STUDENTS DEMANDING THE RESIGNATION OF THE RECTOR
March 3, Barnaul Russian Student Union in conjunction with students of Altai State Technical University I.I. Polzunov held a protest action, demanding the resignation of the rector of the university Lev Korshunov.
At the same time Russian public organization "Russian Students' Union has launched a petion for the resignation of the rector, which will be forwarded to the Ministry of Education and Science. To date, over 1000 students’ signatures have been collected.
Note that the organizers gave notice of the action to the authorities, but in violation of law, it has not been agreed to.

RUSSIAN PROSECUTOR'S OFFICE COLLECTING DATA ON STUDENTS PARTICIPATING IN PROTEST RALLIES
Adminstration at the St. Petersburg State University (SPSU) and city prosecutor's office are checking students at the university in terms of their relationship to informal organizations and participation in protest actions, reports the Russian Students' Union, which considers this check illegal and should stop it. "We believe that the prosecutor of St. Petersburg and the administration of St. Petersburg State University violated students' rights and freedoms guaranteed by the Constitution of the Russian Federation (Chapter 1, Part 1, Article 24) and the Federal Law" On Personal Data "(Clause 1, Article 7 , Chapter 2). They say that any use and dissemination of information about the private life of a person without his or her consent is not permitted ", - says the statement by the Russian Student Union.
The Union requests that the General Prosecutor's Office and the Ministry of Education and Science clarify the validity of such data collection.
The scandal arose after the college students were ordered to urgently provide data on their participation in social movements and street protest events. A memo was circulated by the rector in St. Petersburg State University for academic affairs Nicholas Kaledin. In it he asked for information "about students who consider themselves associated to informal youth associations which are extremist and subject to administrative liability for participation in uncoordinated public events", referring to the request by the prosecutor of St. Petersburg.

LATVIAN STUDENTS AGAINST THE DECREASE IN FUNDING FOR ART COLLEGES
Today, in Riga a student march took place who are protesting against the reduction of funding for art colleges.

The march began near the Latvian Academy of Art, passed to the Ministry of Culture and then headed to the Cabinet of Ministers.

Students demanded the resignation of Minister of Culture Sarmite Elerte and criticized Finance Minister Andris Vilks. They carry banners "Hands off higher education," "Do not take away funding for culture “...

In the march were politicians - representatives of the national bloc "All for Latvia!" - "Fatherland University Brivibay, Imants Paradnieks and Janis Dombrava, as well as the head of the Latvian Association of Free Trade Unions Peteris Krīgers.

The march was organized by students of the Latvian Academy of Arts, Latvian Academy of Music and the Latvian Academy of Culture.

Last week, the Cabinet decided to reduce funding for budget places in universities by 1 million lats. This means that at budget places in universities, which prepare the workers of culture and art, will have 60% less students.

STUDENTS MGUP HAVE FEES LOWERED AFTER THEY TOOK STRIKE ACTION
The Administration of Moscow State University (Press –Media faculty) (MGUP), students and teachers who achieved the resignation of the rector, also gained a 10% reduction in the cost of their education. As recalled by the Russian student union, fees for students under contract was raised at the beginning of the school year, although earlier the university administration said that a revision of the cost of learning will not happen. Commercialization of education has caused uproar among students and has become one of the reasons for beginning an indefinite strike by students MGUP.
The participants demanded the resignation of the Rector, reduced education costs and restoration of unfairly dismissed teachers. The strike was attended by about 350 students and 30 faculty members.
In January 2011 by order of the Minister of Education and Science, Andrei Fursenko, university rector Alexander Tsyganenko was dismissed.
In turn, the temporary leadership of the university met the other demands of the strikers – a 10% reduction in tuition fees.
Meanwhile, the administration of the university has still not reinstated the unfairly dismissed teachers who actively participated in the strike and protests.
In the near future are to be held elections for a new rector. The Russian student union and student union of the MGUP will continue to fight for the rights and interests of students and will work for open and democratic elections of the new rector.
